Massive waste of money. Who wants a waka? Pretty sure I heard someone say on the news last night, it's a tupperwaka.

Now the 100% pure NZ rugby ball, that was a cool tourism promo idea.

Edit - So now I actually click on the link and see that's the title. Nice one!

English say we are desperate for dosh, so Key says, lets spend $2000000 on a piece of plastic then.

Do we we have brilliant politicians or what?

Small change compared to the budget for the entire Rugby World Cup...

IMO it's just people getting their knickers in a twist over nothing again.

There's nothing wrong with a whakatupper, the name is synomous for the whole government structure and policy.
They should be available from $2 shops though, not as one-off acts of desperation trying to distract people from the really big rip-offs occurring all around us.

Donít you just love the accountability of taxpayerís money?

    No declaration of costingís.

    No Tender Process.

Just another "bribe for the broís".

The Maori Party and National might as well merge and going by their present form it would be the National Party merging with the Maori Party who clearly run the country.

Sounds like a waste of money to me, especially as Cicero said, they are complaining about having no money.
