    That was the biggest shake here in my 14 or so years in Wellington. So really hoping it wasn't in Christchurch because it sure shook this place.

    Yeah, biggest in my 20. I actually heard a loud bang from the movement of the house.

    Wellllllllllll- I'm in Wainuiomata ( no kidding) Heard a slight rumble then a good jolt, the whole house creaked and moved, the fish tank was splashing about, SWMBO jumped under a doorway going ekkkkkkkk -- I wondered out-- OK who farted.

    Geonet takes 20-30mins to collate readings then put it up on the website.
    I'd say it would have been at least a 5 and a bit.

    According to SWMBO she was reading someplace, and watched on TV the interview with ken Ring / John Campbell - he predicted another one around the 20th March. If anyone fancies a read

    Just thinking today what would happen if Somewhere else in NZ a big one hit like ChCh soon -- the rescue forces couldn't cope I suspect.
