Never mind the wild food. That looked like a pair of wild girls in the photo.

Because Weka and Pukeko aren't endangered, Weka were introduced to the Chathams Islands where they are allowed to be killed as they are breeding extremely well, I personally didn't like the taste of Weka when i was a kid probably would like it now though.
Morgenmuffel - This word needs to be a part of the english language, in fact you should use it in everyday conversation

In my younger days I used to trap possums. Quite often Wekas got caught in the traps. Used to let them go. Wekas hang round a camp site as they are scavengers. Never ate any native birds but we used to roast possum in a biscuit tin oven. The biscuit tin was covered in earth and we had a fire underneath.

As long as they are not endangered and not highly social animals I don't mind eating them.
    Meh....

Good idea Bob, putting that fire underneath!

    Hilarious. Simply hilarious.
I think New zealand girls will take to like a duck to water.

I do think it's very odd, but then there's little that surprises me anymore after being on the internet for the past 12 years.
