Alleged computer problems.

Twice in the last week I have had two calls from a computer company telling me that they have been receiving lots of errors coming off my computer. If I turn the computer on they will show me what the errors are.

Both voices are of Indian extract. As I do not use my computer too much on the Internet I've told them to get lost.

Anyone had similar calls?

My son had one last night actually asked for me by name, and told him of the errors that were showing up at that moment, funny no computers even switched on.

My sis in Oz got caught out by it. She rang me after she let some guy from NY into her system. Told her to take it off the net. Since they're using 2 laptops as well

Had a customer last month, and again another two this week call me asking if they were legit or Not.

One said they had a MAC --- click

Thankfully they remembered the advise I gave if they ever got these calls.

The other one of them this week asked for a NZ number, which she was given, she called them back but thought it strange that she could hear several other people all asking the same sort of rubbish and hung up.

Just sit there, doing nothing, or carry on doing what you were, saying - real slow,errrrr no don't have that command, don't have that on my PC, cant see that option.

Pretend to go to the site they ask--- w <pause 5 seconds> w<pause 5 seconds>w<pause 5 seconds>. 5 minutes later -- ( sorry I type slow) no dont see that

Who will get pissed off first ????

Funny - just had to instruct a customer to download and run team viewer, saves me a trip into town (so I thought) BUT she knows me and she called me.
