Default monitor-powered desktop speakers - alternative power supply?

I have a pair of desktop speakers with a power cable that plugs into the back of the monitor. What's the best way to power the speakers without the monitor?

just realised the power plug also comes out of the back of the speaker, so i can just get a 1000miliamp 240v adapter right?

If you can find a power supply with the same voltage and connector, aswell as 1000ma or more current, you'll be set.
DSE or wherever should sell some with variable voltage and/or changeable connectors.
