    Whats the Refresh rate on average for CRT's.

    If you can go to 75hz, anything lower can give you sore eyes.

    the OP is asking about CRTs

    for me, anything lower than 85Hz flickers, I prefer 100hz, and up to 200hz for gaming.

    It's also resolution-dependent. Running SVGA or thereabouts, a lot of monitors could go up above 85 to around 120kHz pretty easily. Most would go down to around 60-75kHz as you got near their max resolution.

    Yup, I used to play Quake 3 @ 1024x768 200hz on my Sony 20"

    CRTs will.
    There was an issue with Windows where it would revert to 60hz, but not because the monitors weren't capable.

    I know some of older CRTs we had, in 1992, 14" AOC, which was a tube CRT, wasn't a flatscreen. You had maybe high reso that you could use but the manual said they were in "interlacing" mode and some of them were like 45-60Hz .. Not sure what was 640x480 thou maybe 70Hz I guessed.
