Default So, who is planning on sticking with XP?

I am not willing to enrich M$ with my Gross Annual Profit in order to upgrade all my XP machines.
After all it is only Vista SP3.

Me dunno. I just web, email, chat and do photography on it. I do have 4GB so I guess unless I add more RAM or another sig factor I may just stick with XP, saves the hassle of reinstalling too.

Haven't seen a feature that I really "need".

Altho unless youre using 64 bit, there's no point in getting more than 4 GB

    Definitely upgrading here.

I plan to upgrade my desktop from XP to 7 as soon as I can afford it.
It has some nice features for me - eg the folder trail.

I have been running their "Evaluation Copy 7100" for about 3 weeks now.

Very impressed - I will probably upgrade next Feb when the OS starts to be crippled. I was using Vista Ultimate which was OK once SP1 and SP2 came out, but W7 is a big improvement on that.

    No it isn't.

Microsoft could've added some racing stripes to Vista and labelled the result Windows 7, but instead choose wisely to craft a fresh version of Windows, bringing a bunch of new features to the fore.

Where Vista was a bloated monolith that seemed hell-bent on making its presence constantly felt, Microsoft has got Windows 7 right to the point where it unobtrusively lets you get on with the job at hand.

However, my Father will be sticking with XO until he has to change, and quite a number of my customers. Like the ones who still ran Win98 when XP came out.........

Well, I'm still dragging my heels and using W98 as my primary machine for most work and recreation.

However, I am slowly transitioning to XP due to a lack of support for printer drivers and this cursed DOCX format that every mug is attaching these days.

When I say transitioning - there's a perfectly good XP box here - I'm just not in the habit of using it. I really can not claim to have a preference for XP over W98, and I don't give a toss about W7.

    We must move with times.
