    Default Explorer crashing problem

Ok, so whenever I type the letter "v" into the Vista start menu, explorer crashes and restarts. I can see the results starting with the letter v frozen on the screen for a second before the crash and restart. It started tonight when I was messing around with Vice City, which I soon uninstalled.

    Ideas?

Its probably a corrupt file somewhere. What toolbars are installed?

None, at least, not to my memory. I keep a pretty clean ship so to speak.

Could be alcohol thats crashing it. It has been known to crash explorer

You can tick these then tick fix checked

    Close browsers

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5C255C8A-E604-49b4-9D64-90988571CECB} - (no file)

    I would disable windows defender

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Adobe Acrobat Speed Launcher] "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\Acrobat_sl.exe"

I would install SP2 as well. Itunes has just been updated to v9 as well

How about performing a System Restore to before you installed VC.

    It won't affect any documents.
