Default FYI - Win7 Family pack

No NZ pricing yet, but I know a few people were interested in this, so figured I'd make a quick post about it

Well, Win 7 doesnt work with sierra wireless 595 card, have to say that is disappointing. Telecom Connection Manager (VPN) wont install either, xp mode doesnt help.....!!

I'm starting to lose my excitement of this o/s

    Interesting article.

One thing that caught the eye
Why is Microsoft limiting the supply of Family Packs? Family Packs will become available at Windows 7's official launch on Oct. 22 and will be available only until supplies last, Microsoft said. Why? Probably to create a sense of scarcity, in order to stoke demand and excitement, as its recently concluded limited time offer of discounted Windows 7 pre-orders did.
    That doesn't sound exactly promising.
Update / Upgrades = Replace old bugs with new ones.

That will be where I am staying too.

im quite keen for a family pack - as our house now has 3 computers that are all recently built and can easily handle vista\windows 7 so there are no worries there

now to convince the other 2 people to cough up part of the cash and somehow stop them freaking out cause they cant handle the change from XP to 7

    We do?

EDIT: well, this sucks....it only applies for students in the Computer and Engineering departments....not the Biology department.
