Default How to deletesimilar Icons on task bar

    Hi,
Somehow I have obtained two identical icons on my bottom right task bar
They are Epson C45 and epson C46
C46 is not installed - cannot not be found even doing a reg search
How can I get rid of C46 please?

Are the drivers for it still installed? The files maybe running in startup why the icon appears

Right click and delete it or if its in startup, remove from startup.

    Hi all,

Thanks for a prompt reply BUT

In startup there is nothing that I can delete that even remotely shows Epson - whether 45 or 46

I have been over and over it- even got caught in such a tangle I had to do a systems restore-thank God that worked

In the case of deletion - right click shows only what settings are needed and no delete possibility

Any other ideas- or is my very seniour brain in the poo

C45 can be set up in the same way but does not stall as does right click>epson 46C

First you have to find out WHAT the icon is for. It wont be called 45 or 46 in startup. Hover the mouse over the icon whats it say?

    Hi S G,
Floating the cursor over the Icon says "Epson stylusC46 series" and nothing else and right click starts the "service required" but that stalls
The same float over the other icon says "Epson Stylus C45 series" and it will do exactly the same as above, but carries on with setting the printer up to print, which the above won't

My point re deletion is C46, is NOT installed, so a search cannot find it-even though it is still on bottom right of program bar

Delete the file from startup as well, otherwise it'll reappear after you turn the pc back on
