Acer Recovery disc

I have an Acer travel mate 4060 lap top & the hard drive has crashed and I don't have the Recovery Disc? I do have a legit copy of XP to run....How can I get my LT operational again?

As long as the disk matches the version you were running, just use the product key on the COA thats stuck to the bottom of your laptop. Once you've installed Windows you'll have to grap the required drivers from the manufacturers website.

What if it still wont boot?

If you've installed windows correctly on a good formatted hard drive and it won't boot, you have other hardware issues.

I presumed that by crashed you meant it was dead and you'd replace it.

That's the difference between a post being completely removed (as in this thread), or "soft" deleted. "Soft" deleted posts keep the posters name and record what Mod deleted that post, but the content is no longer visible.
