Thats good news - There has been several people who I've built New PC's for not wanting Vista so put in XP -- Now can finally advice as to when W7 will be available.

Price will be the next factor.

    Edited: Also came across:
According to Windows 7 team, the final release version of Windows 7 will be ready for PC manufacturers (OEMs) to install on new computers at the end of July.
Update / Upgrades = Replace old bugs with new ones.

Is there a page with the avaialble upgrade paths yet?

I think last time I saw you could do an upgrade from Vista, but not XP.

I always like doing a full reinstall rather than an upgrade, but sometimes that's not an option.

    :
I've been advising them for some time. The date was announced a short while ago.
I have one business waiting and they have been for a couple of months now.

    Yay, the end of Vista!!
