Re: Help with Tinywall firewall, please

first thing is tinywall is not a firewall, its a front end to windows firewall.
not to be confused with tinyfirewall which i think i used many many years ago now and is probably long gone.

    Re: Can't believe..........

house fires go fast, much faster than what people think. thats why you bail out and stay out.
in a lot of cases the fire crews are there to stop it spreading to the next house, not to try and save...

Re: For Your Consideration and Comment.

sounds like the coal industry is crapping itself due to the new govt. not only will they loose out to renewable sources, which previous govts did nothing, they may even be force to pay some tax in...

  7. Re: Fog over Auckland - airport closed. Why is that?

not to mention noise. afaik those low bypass engines where pretty noisy.
probably something they didn't worry about in zambia.
  8. Re: Fog over Auckland - airport closed. Why is that?

yeah, it was implicated in one of the airliner crashes. it was common for them to fail. but typically when they faulted the pilots turned them off and flew as normal.
  9. Re: Fog over Auckland - airport closed. Why is that?

no, more to do with the airport. assuming where talking passenger planes. most if not all have ILS system of some sort on the planes. but common to have small airports to be visual landing only (no...
  10. Re: Fog over Auckland - airport closed. Why is that?

ILS only gets them most of the way, they still have to land by sight for the last little bit. there is minimum visibility levels for ILS landings.
however modern craft/airports can have radar guided...
  11. Re: All policing should be based on the Peel Principles

    sorry, your simply wrong.
plenty of cases in the media to prove it. the classic one was the maori occupation that the govt wanted moving on, but police told them no. big write up on powers of...
  12. Re: All policing should be based on the Peel Principles

you need to flip that around.
while govt makes the law, which in theory should control police, in reality police dictate what they do with it.
while govt may appoint top cop, they have to appoint...
  13. Re: All policing should be based on the Peel Principles

no, sorry to say it doesn't happen that way.
this was well shown when govt wanted protestors moved on and police said no.

police are intentionally independent of govt and can basically do what...
  14. Re: All policing should be based on the Peel Principles

unfortunately that won't work here because police are an independent body, independent of govt and of the public.

i remember working on places in rosedale auckland, that was pukesville.
i would be wanting a good ventilation system with carbon filters to keep that smell out.

Re: Any bets on the shooter's colour?

once again this shows what i mentioned.
the "mass killing" as used in that is for federal investigation. basically it opens up extra funds and manpower to investigate incidents, so states don't...

Re: Any bets on the shooter's colour?

note that you mention "mass shootings". this does not mean anyone actually died. also the definition off "mass shooting" is more than one victim.
where as NZ stats are measured totally differently....

Re: Any bets on the shooter's colour?

go watch the river monsters program. they actually catch one huge stingray on that.
  25. Re: Electric aircraft in the near future? I don't think so.

the thing about good ideas is many people make those things independent of each other. so if it was a good idea and its been suppressed, it simply pops up elsewhere.
