It's a repeating occurrence across a few different users (we don't have many left on Outlook) and problems seem to increase proportionally to mail volume / .ost size.

Yeah, there is something wrong somewhere, but that is (still) the only symptom - unable to run Outlook.
Everything else checks out fine and no other issues with the machine whatsoever - all other...
Never had any font issues, but maybe I'm not trying to be too fancy with my email formatting.
I'm sure there are a bunch of outstanding bugs you can point at, but that's because it's an open source...
