Re: Word 2016 picks up docx as a template

If the documents are in the templates folder simply because users can't delete them, then I would strongly suggest moving them somewhere else and setting permissions on a folder appropriately. Seems...

Re: Are you still on Firefox ?

Still firmly on Firefox having stuck with it pretty much from the beginning.

I'm the only one at work who uses it so that's an advantage as we can test the website on more than just Chrome...

Point is, the hardware in general is difficult, if not impossible, to upgrade piecewise - I'll take the flexibility of a PC any day :)

Re: Win10 Is a nmassive piece of s***

As for Windows ME, I installed it on a PC once and System Restore was broken out of the box.

    Doesn't bode well. :p

Re: Win10 Is a nmassive piece of s***

Plenty of problems with Windows XP, Windows 7, macOS High Sierra, etc.

It's simply because there's a huge variety of configurations in the wild and not all of them are going to work perfectly.

Re: Problems with Flash player in Firefox

It's not just Firefox that's phasing out Flash, but everything. Flash itself won't be supported after 2020, so best get rid of it now.

    Re: Vodafone email closure

So explain how a business not connected to Vodafone is supposed to know if a Vodafone email address is being forwarded or not, without asking everyone? That's my point.

    Re: Vodafone email closure

There's no way for the banks etc. to know if forwarding has been set up or not. They're just making sure they can still contact their customers.

    Re: Firefox Quantum 57...first impressions

    Yes.

No. Edge is a completely different beast from IE, whereas Firefox 57 is more akin to a rewrite (but still called Firefox).

    Firefox 57 is fantastic.

All of my add-ons have either been updated to be compatible or weren't really needed in the first place. Only one needed to be replaced.
  22. Re: Away from games etc .. how old is your computer?

Everyone moved away from Windows Phone, and I just wanted apps :p I don't care if it's Linux, at least it isn't iOS

About a year. Nexus 6P on Android 8.0.

    No idea.

My desktop was originally built in 2008 and has since had every single party replaced at least twice. The oldest component in it now is the hard drive from 2011, but everything else...
