Re: Quiet weekend? Look at this!

    Yeah, I get all that.

    But.

It's about options and the multitude of different places to go. US, Canada, Mexico...all just a drive away. Sun, surf, skiing, crowded NYC or empty log cabins in...

Re: Quiet weekend? Look at this!

  6. Re: HOUSE OF THE DRAGON - Games of Thrones Prequel

    Re: Petrol

Depends. The cheapest 95 anywhere here is a 3rd-world Allied station on Petone foreshore that does about $3.08.

BP seems next cheapest around .25 and Shell, or whatever they're called now, is just...

    Re: Car Rant

Many moons ago I got a lime green Nissan Micra as a loan car when my Maxima was getting a bootlid spoiler installed.

I drove home and hid - didn't want to be seen in it.

    Re: Online Purchase from UK

Jaysus....I couldn't imagine spend a grand on something I couldn't see and touch pre-purchase, and then take with me.

I'll spend fifty bucks on rabbit treats online, and even then Animates manages...
  13. Re: Fog over Auckland - airport closed. Why is that?

    True.

If you're going to fly a large A380 12 hours around the world with 300+ customers on board, you want a reasonable assurance from the destination airport that they've spent the coin...

  15. Re: Fog over Auckland - airport closed. Why is that?

The airport has to install the CAT level it needs for most air traffic...
