Re: a law for us and a law for them, again

There was a comment on Stuff re the rugby/stripper thing saying rugby players get a free pass, and that got hammered with thumbs down. They are untouchable, even those with a "promising career"...

    Re: USERENV?

Not bad sectors, but that message "Problems occurred between the communication of the disk and host 1701 times" is a likely culprit for performance issues.

Re: Windows Live Mail with Windows 10

They miss out punctuation in those errors:
smtp port 25 ssl no, socket error 10060

    SSL isn't set.

    Re: Changing fiber providers

Any recommendations? I'll probably go with Spark once the street is all connected up. Currently with Vodasky ADSL, but know a couple of people close by on Voda fibre and the speed is pathetic.

Yep, a few music videos I've tried to watch over the years are "not available in your country".

Re: Giveaway of the day MailWasher Pro 7.8.8

I use PopPeeper, no bounce feature, but similar idea- check what email is waiting to come in. Freeware, and can have multiple email accounts in it.

    Re: UFB Fibre Uptake

They're digging up our street and laying cables now. Friends round the corner got a pathetic 15Mbps, so no better than ADSL2. Another was on the 30 plan, so don't really think all the drama is worth...

    Re: Kingsoft Aarrgh!

That new version of Kingsoft sucks. Wants to display an iffy looking ad when you print, and 3 clicks later you get your printout. Yep, normal printing is now a feature of the paid version.
