    I covered up half the holes on the shower head. That helped alot (but is still quite weak shower pressure)

    Just buy a USB DVD drive .

    The best way to 100% test your flacky DVD drive is to replace it, that not practical for many home users
    PC's DVD/CD is obsolete anyway, so do you even need it now ?
