Re: PHP/SQL encrypt password, send as text

    I would use tokens instead.

    Change the request to
    https://www.somewebsite.com/?accesstoken=abc1234

On the website, only accept that latest token, and once the request is over, generate a new...

Re: What to do when large companies stop replying?

In my experience Paypal's exchange rates never match those of anyone else (such as your bank or xe.com)

It's another way they make money.

Re: Insane hard drive warranty policy

One year warranty is pretty standard on custom build machines, I agree with Snorkbox, raise the issue with Seagate.

Re: What Use Is A Car Alarm?

Luckily for me a client of ours is a GPS tracking company. If my car gets stolen I can track where it ends up, plus if the alarm goes off, I get a SMS within 2 seconds alerting me.

Re: Customers domain expired - How to recover domain

Not a big issue, just fixed a scenario like this today actually (luckily it was well before the domain expires).

My first attempt would be to get the original designer to release the UDAI to you,...

The USB stick has a separate SIM card with a separate number. It can send TXT through the connection program, not sure if you can make calls as well.

Re: Suggestions for web-based form/MySQL backend

Neither would suit as they are more geared up to purchases made online, the OP is after a system to track orders already generated.

Would you be better to get something custom developed?

Re: SQL Server on home PC

Unless you need all the additional tools with full version SQL Server, Express should be more than sufficient.

Are you just using it for development?

This code needs to be in each page, rather than in the page defining the frameset.

Alternatively you could put this in a css file and include that in each page.

    Re: Reading a SWF File

I should also point out you don't actually need the ?rnd= at the end of the URL - that's just to prevent browsers from incorrectly caching that file.
