    If it's less than 3 months old it will often be covered however they are not usually covered under warranty or the CGA as the battery life can be reduced by the user doing things wrong.

    I ended up trying I-stumbler on the mac side. Sitting right beside the router it gets a signal of 58-61, about 5-6 meters away it drops to around 28-30, another 6-7 metres into the lounge & it's down...

    Seems netstumbler is not copatible with the wireless card in my MBP. I've downloaded the Air Traffic Control widget but it doesn't want to connect despite me using the correct WPA key :(
