    Re: lockdown for unvaccinated

air conditioning units don't vent to the outside. (the air blown out from the outdoor unit actually comes from outside, its not indoor air). some system have make up air and economisers which pulls...
  3. Re: As Usual I've Been Scanning the Net For Latest on Omicron Variant

yet i saw a report that its been effecting 20-30 year olds a lot more and its putting them in hospital a lot more.
i think its way to early to comment. however bad it may be, keeping it out is a...

Re: For your Consideration & Comment.

i havn't checked the numbers to see if thats actually true, but we waste a ton of money on "niceties".
i'm a fan of spending money on the basics first. spend it on the "niceties" with whats left...

    Re: lockdown for unvaccinated

that would be perfectly fine if they contained it so it didn't spread, so there wasn't the collateral damage to go with it.
but they have no interest in that, they will spread it to everyone else...

    Re: lockdown for unvaccinated

as CliveM correctly points out "The vaccinated can still become infected, still become ill and also pass the virus on to others."
the best defence is to not catch it. to not catch it you need...

    Re: lockdown for unvaccinated

the Netherlands vaccination rate is fairly similar to ours.
vaccination only does so much, you still need social measures.
trouble with relying on people to "live with the virus" is they don't see...

    Re: lockdown for unvaccinated

i've said all along vaccine is not a cure.
trouble is its on the way. we needed it yesterday.
however its something that may be used later on.

sounds like your talking about anti-vaxers there....

    Re: lockdown for unvaccinated

the third booster shot is a long way off.
far more important just to get the double jab done. its getting enough numbers is the important part.
hopefully the kids shot is safe and will get...

and they won't trust the third one either. or the 4th, 5th or 100000000000th.
its just yet another excuse. i've even seen them on forums trying to get people to make up excuses for them.

    Re: lockdown for unvaccinated

yet your the minority, which means you must think 90% of eligible people must be wrong. so you think your the few smart people in the country.
more likely the minority are the idiots.

    Re: lockdown for unvaccinated

what do you call large numbers. no doubt you will claim any number is "small" because of "reasons".
its impossible to be against something and not be against something. its either 1 or 0.

    90% of...
  16. Re: Do You Remember The Previous Post About Boeing Plane Crashes

my old neighbour is a pilot for AirNZ and i follow some of the aviation channels which is done by a commercial passenger jet pilot.

one of the issues is that so much of the media, hence also...
  17. Re: Do You Remember The Previous Post About Boeing Plane Crashes

yes the faulty MCAS caused the crash by the stupid setup with the sensor and it was ridiculous over compensating.

however pilots could still turn it off by following the standard run away trim...
  18. Re: Do You Remember The Previous Post About Boeing Plane Crashes

    yes and no.
the actual difference between them is minor, its tiny and its only at high AOA. reports from piolets is that it fly's much the same as other versions.
but the small difference is enough...

    Re: lockdown for unvaccinated

    yes, tho its already started.
people are already banning unvaccinated people now and thats without govt doing anything.

thats the thing with anti-vaccinators, its not them vers govt its them vers...
  20. Re: Do You Remember The Previous Post About Boeing Plane Crashes

almost ALL passenger aircraft have "tendency to nose up and eventually stall if correction was not applied continuously".
yep even your modern airbus do that.
that is normal for ALL low mounted...
  21. Re: Do You Remember The Previous Post About Boeing Plane Crashes

now this is your conspiracy bit.

the plane is not faulty. the original MCAS system was most certainly was and Boeing are most certainly to blame for that and have copped some massive fines over...
  22. Re: Do You Remember The Previous Post About Boeing Plane Crashes

yes, and also reducing the amount of re-training required which saves air lines a lot of money.
using an existing well proven platform is a good method. pretty common in all industries.

    its the...
  23. Re: Do You Remember The Previous Post About Boeing Plane Crashes

but the change in engines doesn't make it "inherently unstable". it fly's like any other passenger jet.
they have had numerous engine changes over the years. the new ones are the high bypass type...
  24. Re: Do You Remember The Previous Post About Boeing Plane Crashes

not true at all, completely false, total misinformation. no doubt why your thread got deleted last time.

    the 737max is inherently stable.
the ONLY reason for the MCAS system is the new engines...
  25. Re: Do You Remember The Previous Post About Boeing Plane Crashes

    yeah sort of.
except the 737 max flies perfectly fine without the MCAS system.
even with the bigger engines making it pitch a bit more, the plane is stable and flies perfectly fine.

    the mcas...
