  1. ADMIN NOTE: Uploading attachments does not work in IE10.

We know it's an issue, and as far as we're aware, the problem is either with vBulletin or with Microsoft IE10 - we can't do much until a patch is released. Sorry folks!

    Re: This Forum 2

Given that "the site" in this case is essentially vBulletin rather than PC World, I'm not sure we're in a position to fix it until either Microsoft or vBulletin release a patch to handle it. All we...

    Re: This Forum 2

The problem appears to be with IE10 - it doesn't play nicely with attachments on other sites running vBulletin either (or microsoft's own site, as in the example below). I don't think our IT team can...
  4. Re: Discuss: The law, moaners, being PC, and where PF1 is headed

I'd suggest a complaint to the press council or BSA is your first step, prefect.
  5. Re: Discuss: The law, moaners, being PC, and where PF1 is headed

DeSade, it's essentially an attempt at self-regulation. Self-regulation is the current standard used across most media - complaints about press go to Press Council, complaints about ads go to...

For those following along still: From aap

  7. Re: A pinch and a punch for the first of the month

A friend of mine got me Every. Single. Month. like that throughout primary school (well, every month that the 1st was a school day >_>). My memory has always been a complete sieve - even if I...

    Re: Norton 360 good?

You'll have to wait until about 8pm, so, uh, go outside and get some exercise in the meantime, eh? Sitting for long periods is bad for you, I hear. *nodnod*

Pay? Nothing. More than happy to run Eset's online scanner over it, and post the results here. Drop me an email reminder, though? my work brain and home brain don't talk to each other. :D

    Re: Norton 360 good?

You may notice how carefully I worded everything as my experience with it. I've purchased it for myself, for friends and for family before now. I eat my own dogfood in that regard.

    I'm aware of...

    Re: Norton 360 good?

To be the contrary one in the thread, I think Norton 360 is a fine security suite, and I ran it on my system for a year without any system slowdowns on my 6-year-old system. (I tend to cycle between...

The next step will be a poll of PressF1 members, followed by implementing the poll decision.

We don't have a timeframe yet because we wanted to see how the discussion thread fared. We've had...

    Re: Mobile World Congress

Johcar: it's my understanding they plan to use the WebOS stack for TV interfaces, and it's unlikely we'd see other devices with WebOS on. Which is a shame.

I've been staying out of this thread, and intend to keep doing so: I don't want my presence to impede discussion. However, I felt it prudent to clear up a couple of things.

    In reference to B.M....

Re: What a difference an ad blocker makes.

It depends on how the ad revenue is acquired. CPC (cost per click) charges an advertiser for everytime someone clicks on the ad. CPM, on the other hand, charges per view/impression.
