    Actually plumbers change them, they have limited electrical.
    If the element is dated 1982, probably your cylinder is that old.
    You don't change elements unless they die. They work or they don't. ...

    My brother bought a pack of app controlled LED bulbs so I have one in my PC room now.
    Can control colours, brightness, pastel or dark colour, timer etc.

    Kind of fun.....husband would have hated...
