  1. Re: Problems with brand new Lenovo Thinkpad E15 Laptop

Wow! I wouldn't hesitate and return it under warranty. No need to put up with the problems. It should work perfectly out of the box. Get another and ask them to test it before you accept it.

I make no recommendation, the decision is all yours. However, I have two PCs and a laptop and they took 2004 without problems at all. But, that was my decision to do it. Yours is over to you.

I still very happily run 2007. It does all I need it to and can't see any point of upgrading even though it is no longer supported.

For a person as simple as I am, why do you need to get a better system other than wanting the best? The system you have seems to be quite wonderful especially compared with what I have.

I quite happily use Office 2007. It does all I need in my retirement and have no reason to upgrade at a high price for things I do not need.

If you are mainly wanting to play DVDs, you could consider buying a DVD player to attach to the TV. They also play CDs. Cabling is minimal, just a power cord and an HDMI cable.
