    Re: Windows10 version 2004 update

Well that was interesting WT. The first reboot took 1min 30 secs to get to my desktop with no whirly circle where the mouse pointer should be (excuse the technical language here). I shut down after...

    Re: Windows10 version 2004 update

Thanks WT. I have done what you suggested, and there were heaps of unnecessary items in start up and background apps. Will see what that does in the next restart. Thanks again.

    Your reference to...

    Re: Windows10 version 2004 update

Thanks WT. I didn't know that about roll back/system restore. That did make it much, much worse. Classic Shell had been fine hitherto, and I have done all of the Microsoft updates offered.

    The...

    Re: Windows10 version 2004 update

For what it is worth, my laptop now has it installed, but not by me... I found a prompt to restart to install a Windows update, and so I did a restart, the same as many times before. The result was a...
  5. Re: Recommend a wireless access point or similar, wifi issues?

Quite coincidentally, I set up the same arrangement in our previous home (no 8 port switch, but everything else was the same; even the same brands!). I did this because the ONT box was downstairs,...

Re: Spark Fibre Unlimited with UNPLAN

I have the same Spark plan and the new modem (connection began late Jan 2020). I am very pleased with the plan because now I only pay for what I use, and because I no longer have to have a landline,...

We have that one, or very similar, in our campervan. If you don't want the whistle you simply leave off the cap over the pouring spout.

Re: Is this the end of 'free' press in NZ?

Scary stuff (no pun intended). Actually I have noticed recently that there seems to be a different "flavour" to some of Stuff's reportage on NZ politics. It seems to be more in line with the NZ...

Re: The Very Model of a Modern Stable Genius

Excellent, thanks. I was amused by the reference to Mussolini because in some other parody the other day Trump was referred to as "Il Douche"!
  19. Re: We are worrying about the wrong things.............

One article I read said they are about the size of a man's thumb, and that photo suggests that may be approx right. Of course, not Trump's thumbs.
