get hold of 'windiag' it's an excellent ram tester.......
you dont have to be 'in' windoze to run ram tests.......theres plenty available which run from a boot cd.........

i'ts a good idea to always run those antispyware/antivirus scans in safe mode this disables most running processes and allows the program tokill them more easily
