Re: Newspaper apologises for covid reporting

All you need to know is that people who are fully vaccinated and have had booster shot are still getting sick in Aussie from Omicron but those who are not vaccinated are dying at a much greater rate....
  2. Re: Brian Tamaki arrested for alleged breach of bail conditions

    Re: Djokovic

Everyone in every country of the world needs to be vaccinated to slow down the development of variants, this is a civic duty and not a choice, only very few have a good excuse to not be vaccinated.

I seem to remember that "the scuttling of the German High Seas Fleet in Scapa Flow" is considered to be the start of the downhill slope of the British Empire.

    Re: Spark Free Modems??

In the past I have found that a good way to get modems and such-like is to go to Church Opportunity Shops, they often have late models for $2 - $5 presumably from the previous owner expiring and the...

    Re: Djokovic

Hard to believe that someone whose drive to succeed is so developed and has been so successful is based on a mish-mash of nonsense and woolly headed thinking, maybe this explains the volatile and...
  9. Re: Patently misleading advertising re binoculars/telescopes

I've used Ublock Origin for ages now on multiple browsers, I used to use AdblockPlus but stopped because of the paid White List Issue which was semi-covered up by the Authors of the Extension, in...
  10. Re: Patently misleading advertising re binoculars/telescopes

AdblockPlus allows some paid adverts through, there is an option to turn it off but not sure where anymore. Try right clicking the icon and look for options to switch off white listed adverts.

For a good tennis player who approaches the game with humour and good sportsmanship look at Raphael Nadal. In my opinion the best tennis player ever from the point of view of stylish play and...

Yeah that's what governments are supposed to for to stop this sort of crap happening.

Re: How do I download an mp3 of some songs?

Unless you want to be spammed always post an email addy in this form:

    lambournross at gmail dot com

that way the spiders will not immediately recognize it as an email addy by its usual form.

Re: How do I download an mp3 of some songs?

If you use Firefox then install addon/extension "Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express" and then you will be able to download videos or reasonable quality mp3's from uTube.
  17. Re: Patently misleading advertising re binoculars/telescopes

Just use a decent browser and uBlockOrigin extension and you won't see any of this rubbish.

Decent browser = Firefox or Chrome.

Re: How hot is it where you are?

Although the official temperature here in Christchurch is reported as 24 deg, the dog and I have been inside with two fans blowing on us since just after lunch, it's absolutely sweltering even now.
