  1. Re: How often do you sign another contract with ISPs, power companies etc?

I'm personally very reluctant to change providers so I hardly ever do. I check my mobile and broadband plans every year or so to check if there are better ones though, spark don't make a habit of...

    Re: Win 11 upgrade

In the BIOS you need things like secure boot and UEFI boot enabled, the MBR/GPT thing is done when the drive is first formatted generally by the OS installer for most people. It can be changed later...

There are currently reports of performance issues with Ryzen CPUs and windows 11. A fix is apparently on the way soon.

    Re: Win 11 upgrade

Stick with windows 10 until you eventually need to replace the PC, easiest solution. By the time windows 10 reaches end of life the 2200G will be a 7 year old CPU (from initial release date not from...
  5. Re: Annoying things with Chrome & Chromium browsers.

Do you close the browser before shutting down? mine only asks to restore the previous session if it crashes or sometimes if I leave it open and shut down the PC.

I went from a 27" 16:9 to a 34" ultra wide a couple years ago, was not sure if it was a good Idea but haven't regretted it at all.

Re: Should the sale of Lotto be postponed?

I don't think there's any reason to postpone it, anyone who wants to gamble and can't or won't go online will just have to wait until the end of lockdown. In a way they are being forced to save some...

Electric motors don't need to be all that large physically to have a lot of power and torque, it's the batteries that need to be big.

what kind of batteries? NiMH low self discharge batteries are far superior to the old nicads we used to use. The sort that come pre charged like eneloop and equivalents.
