    Re: Election

Economically it really was an election that National was wise to lose. Labour has made a mess of the economics, lets see if they can fix it without too much pain to the people at large.
  2. Re: Old chestnut - "Problem ejecting USB mass storage".

Disabled the power save and now I have no problems, thank you.
  3. Re: Old chestnut - "Problem ejecting USB mass storage".

Thanks 1101. USB2s' were already disabled but USB3s' were not. I'll now see if that makes a difference.

    Re: Problem with Wifi.

Thanks for that 1101. Maybe we need an expert to check it all out and yes, it is the WPS we push.

    Problem with Wifi.

To start I know nothing about networks or Wifi. The problem is that in my "office" I have the Spark supplied ADSL2 modem/router that controls my LAN attachment to my Desktop - I have no problems.

  6. Old chestnut - "Problem ejecting USB mass storage".

This problem has only just begun in the last two weeks for me. Has anyone been able to find a simple solution to the above problem? I find that the really only way I know is to close the PC down and...

I don't know if 2015 has it but have you tried to use the Acronis 64 bit option? Another I use is Aomei (its free). No doubt others will advise during the day.
  9. Re: Problems with brand new Lenovo Thinkpad E15 Laptop

Wow! I wouldn't hesitate and return it under warranty. No need to put up with the problems. It should work perfectly out of the box. Get another and ask them to test it before you accept it.

I make no recommendation, the decision is all yours. However, I have two PCs and a laptop and they took 2004 without problems at all. But, that was my decision to do it. Yours is over to you.

As for voting them in, we are in a cleft stick I think. If the voters don't like their sitting member and do not vote for that person, the next in line gets in and thinks they are like sliced bread...

    Best version of a movie.

I have two copies of a film and to my old eyes they appear to be the same visually. However, can some one tell me which should be the best for viewing? I would go with #1 but?

I still very happily run 2007. It does all I need it to and can't see any point of upgrading even though it is no longer supported.

For a person as simple as I am, why do you need to get a better system other than wanting the best? The system you have seems to be quite wonderful especially compared with what I have.
  17. Re: Well that didn't last long Nationals up the creek with no Leader

Who would want to win this election anyway. The Reds have well and truly over spent, let's see if they can fix it, I greatly doubt that they can. Tighten your belts very tightly folks, it's going to...

I quite happily use Office 2007. It does all I need in my retirement and have no reason to upgrade at a high price for things I do not need.
