    Re: Backup program

I use EaseUS's ToDo Backup Workstation Edition (Paid) but their free version is very much an option to look into.

    Re: Curved monitors & gaming

Yeah I wouldn't bother with an ultra-wide until you get at least an AMD 5x00/6x00 or nVidia 20x0/30x0 series card...

The 570 will struggle with anything past 1080p in gaming... you need at least...

    Re: Curved monitors & gaming

It would depend on the aspect ratio and resolution you're playing at but most games will scale to the ultra-wide aspect ratio quite easily.

Curved ultra-wide and super ultra-wide are beneficial...

Another thing you can try is boot the laptop with a live Linux distro, Ubuntu or something similar...

If the sound works on Linux then it's unlikely a hardware issue, but if the sound doesn't work...

Re: Migrating from old PC to m/b upgrade.

You could run sysprep on your current drive and just plonk it into the new system. Sysprep basically keeps all your data and regenerates all the SID info and sets the OS to the OOB experience. So all...
  10. Re: Ethernet extender using power socket outlet

Yes correct, that is theoretical and achievable if you had a single AX device talking to the router (and nothing else)... I usually get about 800-900Mbps transfer speeds from my NAS (35GB file) -...
  11. Re: Ethernet extender using power socket outlet

I would go with a Wifi 6 (ax) mesh network instead, yes a little more $$$ than a powerline setup but I have found that with the powerline adapters, you have to buy the pricier models to get 500Mbps+...

    Re: Asus Prime H310M-E R2.0 reinstall Win10

As Wainui said, probably has to do with boot order and there are some mobo's that will initialise the legacy USB2.0 ports first before anything else.

    Re: M.2 Installation

Check the M.2 slot, sometimes they afix the screw to the mounting hole for the M.2 so may just need to remove the screw and then install your M.2 using that screw.

Yep, I don't disagree with you on any of that. I just think for the average home user, this TPM thing in particualr is not going to be an issue because they are likely going to purchase OEM laptops...
