Re: Panasonic stereo - question about speakers

Terry and Dugimodo, weren't these types of problem the source of discussions in the 1950s, '60s and even into the '70s. I would have thought it was all sorted out by now. By the way I still have a...

What? Does it? I have a modem plugged in to the ONT and then a Nighthawk router. Have I done it correctly?

Radio at home and in the car, National programme or whatever it is called these days, NO ADS! And no chattering DJs who think they are funny.

    Failed Products

This is not just a computer orientated thread of failed products, but others as well. Is anyone here old enough to remember the launch in NZ of Lucky Ale, Lucky Lager and Lucky Stout? They were awful...

Well, it seems the problem may have been with my shortcuts not being properly actioned by Edge since the update. The sites for which I have created new shortcuts work as intended. Thanks for the...

    Latest Updates

Has anyone found since updating to 1709 that clicking on shortcuts to websites has become a bit hit and miss? There is now no indication that things are "working" and the request is being executed. I...
  12. Re: Happy birthday ... Richard, Ninjabear, and Skeptile2 !!!

No it wasn't. My stone was at the distal end of the common bile duct so was quite easily removed once the surgeon got to it. My gall-bladder had been removed in 2014, but the sphincterotomy performed...

Happy birthday Ken. Us October babies are a tough bunch, and know how to celebrate an anniversary.

Thanks Marnie, you are right about the repairs and maintenance. In this case it was a large gallstone, so I can say I lost a stone in one day!!
  15. Re: Happy birthday ... Richard, Ninjabear, and Skeptile2 !!!

Thanks Guys. Another one under the belt, almost getting too many to count. After a "procedure" at Mercy Hospital in Auckland on Monday, it was good to get to the big day! Cheers all.

Re: Baycorp and my overdue debt

If your brother is a Barrister, then talk to him urgently before you do anything. If you are in the clear, and he is any good a letter from him would stop everything in its tracks.

    Re: Recording TV Programmes

Considering doing the same until I looked at what was available on Freeview, and it is utter crap. So will have to stay with Sky until they go broke, or Freeview improves dramatically.

    Re: cordless or corded chainsaw?

I always ensure I hold the saw well away from me, almost at arms length. Then if anything goes wrong I have time to react. This said, a sharp chain is your best friend when using this tool.

The success of the RAF in the 1940 Battle of Britain was due more to the Hawker Hurricane than the Supermarine Spitfire.
