Re: It Used To Be - the American influence

The only constant in language is that people will keep complaining that it changes :)

    Poll: Re: PressF1 Outages

Am I not able to go to the last page of a thread if there's only one reply on it?

EDIT: Seems like it, I can see page 4 now :)
  3. Re: The Americans are shooting each other yet again

I'm just going to leave this here. https://twitter.com/amnesty/status/1159193528787963905
  4. Re: how do I close my previous post which is now resolved?

You don't. Just leave it alone and after 3 months the thread will lock itself. :)

Re: More Power Over Firefox Updates etc

Most websites only support the last two versions of any browser anyway so you're better off in the long run keeping it up to date. It's not really that intrusive.

Re: W10 feature updates? Friend or Foe?

Absolutely they do. Clipboard history is one of the best features they added, as is Windows Subsystem for Linux. :wub

    :+1:

Our Epson printer would have all sorts of issues, which all magically went away when we started using genuine ink again.

  10. Re: A reason for boycotting Microsoft products.

So exactly the same as Google and everyone else then?

Move along, nothing to see here ;)

Re: My newly built computer isn't working :(

That error message is normal if an OS hasn't been installed yet, as there's nothing to boot from.

Does the keyboard and mouse work on another PC?

    Re: CCleaner Alternatives

These days I just use Windows's own Disk Cleanup and nothing else.
  13. Re: Recent update of Chrome has annoying notations.

Happens to me in Firefox as well so it's definitely not Chrome-specific (though with Firefox's messaging of course). To me it seems like Gmail is still working on updating itself in the background...
  14. Re: Recent update of Chrome has annoying notations.

Unless it's happening on every side suddenly it's not new, it's a feature websites can implement that's been around for some time.

    Re: Windows reinstall

Personally I wouldn't let Windows XP on the internet any more.

What's the specs of the laptop?

    Re: Bye bye Firefox

With the addons broken I forgot how bad the internet was without Adblock

Still sticking with Firefox though, this just seems like an oversight (though a pretty major one) and people make...

Re: Win10 Update - active hours

Active Hours were added in 1607 so isn't in the version you list. 1511 is quite out of date and even unsupported now, so best to upgrade using either the upgrade assistant or via a clean install.
