    Re: Windows 2004 Defragging SSD's

The other problem with SSDs (and flash memory in general) is that data retention also goes down with write cycles.

Write an SSD once and the data may last for 100 years.

    Write data to a drive...
  4. Re: Some kind of headphones for splitting sound???

It's going to be impossible to do this on a laptop because it's designed to drive either but not both at once. Cutting off the speakers when you insert anything into the headphone jack is by design....

Re: Is it feasible to fix a rangehood?

I'd say its quite likely fixable for less than $500 - in parts anyway.

The problem is knowing what to replace or fix, and how to do it. As others have said, mains powered stuff is very dangerous...

    Re: Board battery?

Try humouring them with the serial number, maybe they need it to look up the exact model and tell you the right answer...

Otherwise, you'll know for sure if you open it up and take a look, or get...

Re: Fly ordered coffee at ptrol station

A hole punch through the antenna coil will solve that problem, or just disable it in your internet banking or go to the bank and get them to turn it off.

    Re: Should I defrag SSD?

As above, defragmenting is only useful on a spinning hard drive where keeping contiguous files will give higher performance.

An SSD does not need defragmenting, and doing so will only waste...

Re: LGA1150 broken pin for data bus?

I'm guessing it won't work if you have any RAM installed in a channel A slot. You will probably have to use other RAM channel(s) if you want the board to do anything other than beep at you with a RAM...
