Re: Windows 11 Latest Tech Preview

Build 25120 released to the Dev channel.
    Read about it here.
Floating some new ideas. I've moved to Beta so I can't comment on them.

    Re: Biuilding a new PC

My build is going to be definitely nice-to-have rather than must do.

    Re: Biuilding a new PC

That is about what I was planning to do anyway. However when I have a potential bill for several thousand dollars on the horizon I think it is better to hold off for a bit.

Thanks everyone for the advice, but it looks like the project is going to be on the back burner for a while.

Thanks Piroska, that's all good stuff.
I will check Tom's hardware; that is usually good advice.

    Re: Biuilding a new PC

    So when is AM5 expected?
You say pricing will be competitive with Intel, but it is likely to be more expensive than AM4 - right?

I've been an AMD person for a long time, for no particular reason...

Yes, I enjoy the process of assembling and building, together with the satisfaction of doing it myself.

    Re: Biuilding a new PC

I have to say I am very tempted to just get an off the shelf system from PBtech or somewhere. It's just that I have a case and a power supply and it seems a pity not to re-use them.

I was going to ask about the chipset. What are the differences I should look out for?

    Re: Biuilding a new PC

Biuilding - grrr! Where is spellcheck when you need it?
I certainly don't change my hardware very often, so maybe the 5700 is the way to go. What made you choose Gigabyte?

    Biuilding a new PC

I'm starting on the project of building a new PC, and I'm a bit stuck on what mobo I should get. You look at PB tech or Ascent and there are pages of motherboards.
    My requirements are fairly simple....

Re: Windows 11 Latest Tech Preview

I've done it. I've shifted to the Beta channel, so it's no more dodgy Dev builds from now on. I'll miss the excitement, but since I lost my WHS machine I need a more stable platform available as a...

    Re: Under desk pedal machines

No pun received because the word is actually "peddled" :)
At Cubii.com they range from $269 - $329, but I suspect that is USD. That would be the absolute max that I would want to pay.
    There is also...
