    Thanks for your prompt reply. I unticked simple file sharing as you said, and then I was able to just delete the folders as I normally would - didn't need to select security, etc.

    Try emptying the cache in Firefox. Click on Tools, Options, Advanced, and under Cache click Clear Now and OK. See if that helps.
