  1. Re: Calling Plumbing Experts -- How to get rid of "Air-Lock"?

Ahhhhh, so all these noises are the Daughters fault.

Have you approached her about the problem yet? :)
  2. Re: Calling Plumbing Experts -- How to get rid of "Air-Lock"?

I wonder if THIS post could be a clue? :D
  3. Re: Calling Plumbing Experts -- How to get rid of "Air-Lock"?

The other good news is that if you choose to ignore it, it will eventually cause a leak somewhere, or break at a joint.

How long this will take is anybody's guess.
  4. Re: Calling Plumbing Experts -- How to get rid of "Air-Lock"?

The problem is the house’s plumbing configuration, and usually occurs when part of the supply line is above the highest tap (outlet).

Google “Water Hammer” and you will find plenty written on the...

Just be aware that the output of your Inverter should probably be Sinusoidal, or you may run into problems. ;)

Ummm why? I don't have any Fibre to terminate. It's copper from the road to the house I'm told.

Re: Do I have reason for complaint?

OK, let me make things very, very, clear.

I was told that Fibre went straight past the gate and connection wasn’t a problem!

Fibre does apparently go past the gate, but not up the drive!

    My...

Re: Do I have reason for complaint?

Yes I had Fibre at my old place and the ONT sat beside the Modem/Switch, whatever, about 3 metres from the computer.

The original Modem I still have is a HUAWEI HG859, and the new modem is...

Re: Do I have reason for complaint?

Yes, these “Speed” testers are a mystery at best.

Even at the old place, with Fibre to within 3m from the computer, I could never get 100Mbs down but could always get 20Mbs up.

    The best I ever...

Do I have reason for complaint?

Recently I relocated down the road to a flat section and a house without stairs.

Vodafone was the ISP and all I wanted was the same package transferred to my new address.

    The transfer was...

Re: Pike River , $35Million to acheive nothing

I agree with most of what has been said here, but, the the thing that still irks me is the “Mine Rescue Team” were forbidden to enter the mine, immediately after the explosion, by a Policeman who had...

    Re: Filthy Water

Don’t know what the problem is. :)

Nearly every town in NZ is reticulated with AC (Asbestos Cement - Fibrolite) water mains, and if you ever look at a broken pipe, and how thin it is, you can say...

Re: Any Coin Collectors out there?

    Well done Kame.

Yes the King is Fuad, not Farouk, because Farouk didn't become King until 1936 and this is a 1935 coin as MushHead pointed out.

What's more, google works so much better...

Re: Any Coin Collectors out there?

Fear not, I extensively googled the problem prior to posting, but drew a blank.

I think we can safely say that the Head Side of the coin depicts King Farouk.

However, I can not find a picture...

Re: Any Coin Collectors out there?

    Thanks Guys,

King Farouk was my first guess, but I can’t find anything to back that guess. :illogical

The good news is I found a couple of Sovereigns/Half Sovereigns to ease the pain. ;)
