21359 downloading now. Nothing much new and bunch of bug fixes.
Start ->windows tools
Mine took two attempts, but eventually went in smoothly.
I do like the new "Windows Tools" folder. It looks like a descendant of the "God Mode" folder.
Thanks WT - I'd totally forgotten to check. Downloading now. Reading the blog there seems to be a bit of refinement plus a whole lot of bug fixes.
Thanks for all that - very interesting and useful. I have actually bought a Husqvarna (see earlier post), so let's hope it works out OK.
That's why we have the tracing app, to try and make sure it doesn't.
I think you are being overly optimistic. If as your handle says, you are an "old guy" (as am I), then I think your chances of being severely affected are considerably greater than 1%.
People are...
I don't think I'm worried enough about it to go that far. Certainly an option though.
I'm not sure what brought all that on. My original question (did you read it?) was to do with aspects of the covid scanning app and the bluetooth activation. I certainly wasn't question its validity...
I don't claim to know how the apps work, but I could guess that "retrieve running apps" means it can see if the scanner/bluetooth app is going so it can exchange data (as it is designed to do). "View...
I'm not sure that "retrieve" and "view" necessarily imply "record".
Damn! Beat me to it!
I did wonder. How can you tell? And it is a tree weta, yes?
Sorry WT, I should have looked at the link properly. It explicitly says "You do not have to have the app open for it to work.".
So that wraps all that up!
The joys of living in the bush. This handsome thing was sitting on my kitchen bench when I came down this morning.

The question is, how did it get in?
Well, yes, it works in the background, but there has to be some computing going on, and my question is, how is that initiated? Does it only work (in the background) while the Covid app is active, or...
That may be so, but I am sure I have seen people with a phone showing the QR code on the screen when it is clearly not the scanner app operating.
I note nobody has been able to answer my second...
I am usually pretty careful about scanning in everywhere (apart from today when I accidentally left my phone at home - d'oh!) I have a couple of questions:
Am I the only person who's app seems to...
That was quick! After ordering it on Tuesday afternoon, it was available for collection on Wednesday. Good service, I think.
I've now assembled it following all the pretty pictures with absolutely...
21343 done and dusted. The new File explorer icons do look very pretty, but you do have to wonder why they bother.
Build 21343 downloading now. New pretty icons in File Explorer plus a bunch of other superficial stuff.
Apparently the Husqvarna kit has the innards made by Nilfisk.
I have a Black and Decker Workmate bought in 1975 that is still an important piece of kit in my workshop. Battered, charred but still working.
Also some kitchen knives that were wedding presents in...
And how many fires have caused it to regenerate?
