    I use Samsung SSD's. Makes an enormous difference compared to the old hard drive,well worth it.And Samsung have handy tools for cloning/copying the hard drive to their ssd.

    Is there an equivalent of Firewire (IEEE 1394) ? I assume usb3 would be as quick, but is an adaptor from Firewire to usb3 available?

    It's probably leakage current triggering the led.The ordinary lamp draws more current to get it working, so when you fit an led there's less resistance in the lamp.

    Just disabled NoScript and Outlook mail opens OK now.Disabled the rest of the addons but my supplier still doesn't load.No worries there as I can use Chrome for them!

    I had that happen on my Win 7 after installing my SSD a day or two later.
    Had to boot into BIOS where I did see the SSD and had to reset it as boot drive!
