    Unless you do fancy stuff with virtualisation (think a VM within a VM sort of thing), there's really no practical difference (that I've come across).

    Most modern CPUs have fTPM built in, it just tends to be disabled by default. Enabling it should be good enough for Windows 11.

    Chances are you don't actually need to install a separate TPM :)

    I just turned on PTT in the BIOS settings and suddenly Windows 10 said I now have a TPM 2.0 chip.

    Two points:

    You should not disable Windows Update.
    This thread is about pre-release versions of Windows, so stuff will absolutely break in these versions.
