    Re: Backup??

Have a look at EaseUS's ToDo backup free edition.

If all you're looking for is Full/Differential/Incremental Backup and Restore then it's a good choice.

I have been using their Workstation...

Re: Looking to replace Gaming Box

If by lame you mean it is not current Gen then yes correct, but there is a world-wide shortage of GPU's and CPU's that is pushing pricing to ridiculous levels.

Re: Looking to replace Gaming Box

Honestly with those specs, all you really need to do is upgrade the CPU and motherboard...Everything else is fine.

16GB of memory and a 2060 Super is more than enough horse power for 1080p...

Re: Looking to replace Gaming Box

To be honest, I'd go with:

    Ryzen 5 3600
    X570 Motherboard
    16GB of 3200MHz RAM
    RTX3060

Works out to about $1700 or so.

X570 is much better feature wise AND is compatible with current and...

What are the specs of his current machine?

You could save $1K or so if you just bought the CPU, motherboard, GPU and RAM and assuming the current case he has is compatible and there are no other...

Re: Combining SPF records for domain

I suggest you find out what the preferred settings are from your mail provider to determine if you should use ~all or -all

~all is less restrictive than -all

    Re: DOS batch file question

I don't disagree with that, it is a "workaround" to the problem... the whole point behind "system paths" is to be able to "point the OS" to the correct locations for executable files/programmatic...

  13. Re: Eset Internet Security vs Malwarebytes vs Windows Defender

In this day and age...it's better to "spend" on end-point protection... whilst Defender does an adequate job, it is not as good versus an offering such as ESET.

Stick with ESET, she will not...

I'm in Sydney, East Ryde, provider is Aussie Broadband... they have THE BEST service hands down. I used to be with Vodafone, then Telstra then Optus... they all sucked... Aussie BB has been awesome.

    Re: Vodafone's new Broadband system

Fibre is obviously the better choice as it can support higher speeds but whether you can actually buy a service which is higher than 1Gbps is another story.

Yeah I wouldn't remove Edge, as it's heavily integrated into the OS itself...you may find other things breaking or not working correctly within the OS... proceed with caution.

It "should" be fine, if that's all you're doing. You might be hard pressed to get a GPU that still has DVI (you might have to go to a GTX970/980Ti).
