    Re: Windows 11 leaked

It's much better than it was though. A big problem is with titles such as PUBG, as the anti-cheat software is unable to function in wine. The game itself would probably run fine.

Re: Spark plug madness - what's the answer?

With the new spark plug it was very easy to start. Once going, it seemed fine and cut the grass well as I would expect.

The only problem was dying twice at idle for no apparent reason.

    Re: pc random power loss

Sure, but this is a 3yr old machine with a BluRay drive... Surely nothing is SATA1 in that setup?

    Re: pc random power loss

I find it surprising that reconnecting a loose cable caused a reset as SATA is supposed to be hot swappable.

Re: Why do women wear a towel on their head?

In my understanding, it soaks up water and helps dry the hair without damaging/tangling as you would if you briskly rubbed it with the towel.

Why do you care so much about what it looks like?

    Re: pc random power loss

If it's the drive power cable, yes that could do it, if it was the data cable, very unlikely.

    Re: Problem with BitComet

Because many VPNs advertise on pirate sites and tell you you need to use their product ;)

    Re: pc random power loss

It sounds like the old PSU was faulty. It may have had high noise/ripple and damaged something else.

Re: Spark plug madness - what's the answer?

Thanks everyone for the replies and advice.

I returned the DJ8J to Mitre10 and bought an BPMR6F from Repco instead. At $9.89 it wasn't too bad for a trimmer that only cost $6.

    Re: Weather Forecasts

All this is a moot point when 5G comes in and swamps the weather satellites with interference anyway.

I would recommend only qBittorrent or Transmission.

All the rest seem to have turned into bloatware or adware or otherwise steaming piles of garbage.

    Re: Security Cameras

That's old news, these web-connected cameras get hacked all the time.

Full of holes and bugs and the companies (even big ones like D-Link) are lazy at fixing them.

I'll never use any of that...

Re: Spark plug madness - what's the answer?

Quality is not really the question here, both Champion and NGK are well known, respectable brands, and I certainly wouldn't advocate for the use of generic copies that probably fall to bits or rust...

Spark plug madness - what's the answer?

I recently bought a very cheap Ryobi line trimmer (Quickcut slasher) second hand as not working. It's a model RST31E with a 31cc 2-stroke engine.
The spark-plug was dirty and cleaning it got the...

The power grid is noisy in any country, that's why devices often include protection against the usual transients etc.

Re: Why doesn't the camera flash whine?

The frequency is probably too high and the audio level too low to be picked up easily on set, and adding it in post would probably make little sense as not everyone's equipment could reproduce it...
