    As a drastic measure you can short out the green wire on the 24 pin power connector to one of the black ones. Forces the PSU on, almost never helps but I have had a system boot that way before.

    Just out of interest, tried an Ebay search for "Z170 pro gaming BIOS chip" and got pages of results from $17-$25.

    Buying off Ebay can be risky but it's an option, just check out the sellers...

    I watched a supplier flash the wrong firmware onto a motherboard and toast it once, no problem for me I got a new motherboard :)
    Point being there are often multiple very similar boards and version...

    I ordered a replacement BIOS chip off Ebay for one of mine, didn't work but it was worth a shot :)

    Maybe a repair place with an Eeprom machine can reflash it, do pc techs do that?
