Hello all,
I did a WIN10 reset this weekend to get rid of unnecessary software, chose the option to keep my files. Laggard now has just Edge as its browser. It seems Laggard is running a bit...
Thanks 1101 for your reply. Where did you procure the notebook and SSD for that dirt cheap price? What is the degree of computing expertise needed to merge the SSD and notebook into the fast...
Thanks 1101 for your reply.
The specs for Laggard are:
CPU: Intel Celeron CPU N280 2.16 GHz
RAM: 2.00GB (1.89 GB usable).
Does this specs info shed any light on why Laggard is going at snail...
That's interesting. I won't be buying Instachill from TV Shop.
I'll be trying to find something that is effective in cooling down a room in the hot and humid Auckland days without too much expense...
Let's use scientific facts which Trump apparently doesn't like. Humidity is the concentration of water vapor present in the air. Humidity cannot be more than 100%.

The HP PC laptop I bought three or four years ago is showing its ancient age :-( It's far too slow to run Tinkercad.
It takes ages to start up Firefox and much of the software in the computer,...
I haven’t tried booting Raspberry Pi OS on a laptop nor want to. It’s too much hassle. What I’ve done is start from the Pi computer hooked to a monitor. The system gets started in less than a minute....
I phoned the Instachill 0800 number after watching their TV ad several times. Looks like one Instachill machine costs $550. I want to cool down my rooms in the coming hot 🥵 summer days which are...
Thanks Kenj. Looked up the article too. Do you know if Rotary clubs in Auckland are part of the network that sends lemons or citrus to the Sth Island? If not, I’ll ask a local one.
... <how do you delete this post?> can’t find the delete button?? :-0
Thanks lurking for that suggestion. I clicked on the link and found that lemon slices can be frozen too. Also found that lemon pieces should be packed into freezer bags to remove air so that they’re...
Thank you Kenj for the suggestion. I’ll try it for my weekly Friday night drinks as I happen to have a bit of dry gin and a box of ice cube bags, I’ll make the ice cubes in the freezer. I tried a bit...
Hey forum members,
I got 12 big lemons from my lovely lemon tree this spring so far but I’m using these up at too slow a rate to prevent rotting.
Are there ways to preserve the lemons in jars...
Hey Forum,
I’ve been researching the electrochemical process of calculating the blood glucose level from a very small blood sample. I think it is a five step process (I’m not some kind of...
My SMEG rangehood appears to be not going. Its light will turn on but its motors won’t go. Is it possible to fix it myself or hire someone to do it for less than $500 including cost of the necessary...
I’ve got my Pi3 working :-)
I can see folders showing up on the screen that shows video output from my Pi3. Can anyone here on this forum tell me what the name of this Windows File Explorer-like...
Thanks Piroska for your reply. How do I ascertain that CTL and CFL aren’t malware or that there’s no malware on my PC for that matter? I’ve got NOD32 which looks for any intrusions. A NOD32 virus...
I noticed something like a CFL or CTL Receiver app hiding in a PC when it was shutting down?
Does anyone know what this mysterious software is? Is it malware? If yes, what does it do?
Thanks in...
McAfee Safe Connect seems to have installed itself on my laptop despite my best efforts to stop it and without my asking for it. Anyone know how that happens?
This software is annoying me so much...
I searched for good explanations of how the relevant hall effect sensor/transducer/RPS's electronics works and found this online tutorial page:...
Thanks for explaining what a hall sensor is. Perhaps it should be more clear if it was called a hall effect sensor?
I'm still puzzled by a few things:
1) Where's the current? In the stator or the...
I thought the sensor didn’t need testing as I could see the 130 fault code shown by the LED lights in binary code and was confident that it was the sensor itself that was faulty, not the control...
Managed to lay down the washer on its FRONT, it tipped a little water which I mopped away. But couldn't see the RPS.
So I laid the machine down again on its FRONT with someone's help, it tipped...
Came across this detailed and interesting video of a 130 fault being fixed in a FP washer:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FQc64aBzc0
Remember to watch the last half min of it as it warns...
Thanks for the URL. I've looked at the youtube video and worked out that the fault code is 130. Which in binary code is 10000010. It looks like the error means "Single Rotor Position Sensor Error"....
