I am aware that the Geneva Convention does not allow the "legal" or "sanctioned" assasination of a current president of a country but in this case I believe an exception should be made to the rule to save lives. Anyway how do you think JFK was shot? It certainly wasn't by Lee Harvey Oswald. ;)
What difference do you think Mugabe makes? He's got millions in the bank and probably wants to shoot through. The problem is all the army officers and Govt officials that don't want a regime change. If Mugabe stood down there would probably be a coup before an election.
I would expect the other guy who actually "won" the election would take over. The thing is that Mugabe doesn't want to "shoot through" if he did he would have don't that already. He would prefer just to shoot everyone who opposes him which is the rest of the country.
OK on about 5 sec of research it seems that some in his own party want to get rid of him but Zanu (PF) would still want to hang onto power.
And all like him...
Getting rid of him might change that.
Torture the bastard over a month first.
Or even better, let ME torture him.

Yes shoot him, and arrest all his top generals and party leaders.
But then there are a few other leaders like him.
The President of Congo Brazzeville for one.
Who would decide ?
Who would do it ?
What about China ?
