What have you owned for 20yrs and still using?

Something owned but never used. A small heart shaped chocolate I've had in my fridge for 23 years, still looks good enough to eat.

What?! Who has food 23 years old in their fridge....eeewwww.

It would have "bloomed". Or worse, have mold.

I just checked and no bloom or mould that I can see, and it's been unwrapped in a plastic container. Darn, for all these years I thought I'd been given a heart shaped chocolate but I see it's actually a leaf. Not sure I feel as sentimental about it now.

20 years? That's nothing. I am still using tools that were my grandfather's when he was a young builder and blacksmith in the 1880s. I've had them for over 60 years and they're still as functional as ever.

Looking around my house, much of what I own is over 20 years old, including some clothes that I still wear today. I am still using furniture that I built in the 1960s. Anything 20 years or less is considered "the new stuff" in my world.

Buy quality and then care for it properly and it will last you a lifetime or more. Unless it's a car or a computer. Hammers last well!
