Prime Minister, not all of your "team of 5 million" is that stupid
So our PM tells us she personally has secured additional doses of vaccine and these - as she speaks - are already winging their way from Europe to us in the antipodes.
As much as you would like to think and us to believe your "personal friends" are altruistic, in the big bad world of commerce - and politics, there's no such thing as a free lunch. So when do we find out what the hook is?
And when do you realise that not all your team is going to swallow the story you are personally overseeing the progress of this mercy flight by watching - on a flight watching app - to make sure nothing goes wrong? Puh-lease, Prime Minister, that sort of stuff is designed to keep prepubescent kiddies occupied each Christmas while they watch Santa's supposed progress from the North Pole with his sleigh full of goodies.
In case it may have escaped you Prime Minister most of your 5 million are not prepubescent kiddies, and deserve more respect. Not all of us appreciate being patronised with such condescending bull****. This is not Christmas. This is serious stuff we're managing.
Time for you to grow up.

The Covid TV advertisements sound like an episode of Play School in the way they are presented which is turn off annoying.

Re: Prime Minister, not all of your "team of 5 million" is that stupid
just a small issue of actual numbers
What country would be stupid enough to give away (or sell) much of its precious vaxines .
3 days worth of VAX is "winging their way" to NZ.
Yep, 3 days worth .
They just cant stop lies & mistruths .
Propaganda. Thats all they give us .

Trouble is they have to "Dumb it down" as there's way to many people who don't understand anything more "adult".
You see it all the time -- Go onto any social media platform and soon after any announcement there's all these dumb questions about what was said - Some people it just doesn't register.:(

I hated the entire drama right from when it first started last year.
Viruses will always be with us, they will always mutate, some can be vaccinated against and yet some will still kill some people.
Usually the old or unwell.
I was over it then......now, well it's just watching the country go down the toilet....

Spot on. I lurk on a couple of local yokel FB groups, someone will post say an upcoming event with all the details there, time, date venue, etc, and some dipstick will always ask "where is this" or "when is it". :illogical

She was on an empty beach with her bubble. Yesterday we went up to local bakery, 2 guys sitting on outside tables eating, without masks, shock, horror...
Calm down people, get YOUR vaccine and you don't need to panic about masks.

THIS is why at Countdown I have to push a button to tell it I want to proceed, when scanning something should be more than effing adequate!
Apparently it's for the benefit of the 0.01% that can't work out if they need a machine that accepts cash or not. We get treated like the lowest common denominator.

But rest easy in your beds, Kiwis ... Police and Defence Force staff seek to protect us from those beastly characters who think the grass is greener on the other side of the border :groan:
Quote:
Police staff did get a surprise when some local four-legged residents decided they wanted to try to breach our strict border restrictions.
Forty cattle stampeded from a paddock onto Mercer Ferry Road before Police staff managed to herd them onto Orams Road.
The cattle soon realised the grass was not greener on the other side and started to head back to their own property facilitated by Police, Defence Force staff and the farmer at the property.
Police decided to let the cattle off with a warning on this occasion.

You do realise of course that Dr Siouxsie Wiles is an expert micro biologist who knows, or should do, exactly how much use masks are in general particularly out in the open air. Obviously not very much at all.
I still see people completely on their own, inside a car, and wearing a mask. You have to wonder if they are also wearing a condom to guard against STDs :)

Her friend was swimming while she watched , not allowed under level4 .
So, one rule for them, other rules for us plebs I guess .
Sure not a big deal, its just the hypocrisy of her actions .

Definately not a big deal but there is no way you can tell others to stick to the rules and then be seen ignore them youself.
Just imagine the media pile on had it been Judith Collins and a friend seen doing exactly the same thing.

Ho hum, bugger masks.
Apparently in Auckland there are plenty of vaccines, plenty of spaces...after the insanity of cancelling them, they're not waving people in.........so says sons GF.
She has done hers now, bravely sat in a traffic queue for 4 hrs a couple of weeks ago.
Just need everyone to HURRY UP and go.

She is a health risk to NZ taxpayers because she is obese and she must be sh@^ for brains not seeing the bad optics of sitting on a beach unmasked further than 5 km from her home with the chick swimming.
I dont believe she cycled there or that other chick is in her bubble.

But those that made the rules say they weren't broken!
Looks to me like a National Party, Cameron Slater, epic fail again.

Re: Prime Minister, not all of your "team of 5 million" is that stupid
Neither of the two women where wearing suitiable clothing for cycle riding I do not believe they arrived at the beach by bycicle. The rules are only applied to selected individuals and not to friends of the government nor to gangs who wish to attend a funeral.
Laws/rules should apply to everyone on an equal basis otherwise they are likely to be ignored

When Wehrmacht unit officers notified German high command about SS and local allies atrocities to prisoners and civilians what do you think they did?
A. Same as the NZ Commy Labour government does.

Suitable clothing? What is that? Not everyone on a bike dresses in lycra or whatever.
I've ridden in everyday clothes, and husband who used to cycle race did too.

You are of course correct in what you say. The pink haired lady however does not look as though she gets any regular physical exercise of any kind unless you include talking.

Went for my jab yesterday . In the waiting area there was of course the one guy who thinks rules dont apply to him.
Everyone else was masked up, he had his pulled down below his node & mouth.
Just staggering the attitude of some.
Thats the problem we have. Too may people simply cant be trusted to do the right thing.
Experts doing the opposite of what they are advising
Minister of Health going mountain biking during a lockdown, and taking his family for a long drive during a lockdown.
AKers still leaving Ak for a holiday , thats still happening .
Mass exit to holiday homes out of Ak the night before lockdown.

That's the theme of this thread ... "not all of your "team of 5 million" is that stupid".
Auckland, being the most populated centre of the country, obviously has proportionately most of its quota of idiots, and this just goes to prove it.
Disproportionately though are the actions of the member for Remutaka, a Cabinet Minister renowned for having his sanity questionable then as is now, in the process shooting himself in the foot - and thereby showing stupidity is not exclusive to JAFAs.

I don't have an issue with your post, zqwerty, and thanks for posting the verifiable information. Yours provides a link to an accountable and reputable source, which piroskas does not. Piroska's xrays could be of anything, the advancing record of any number of lung diseases - TB for one. We just don't know and have to trust the authenticity or otherwise of the images to the reputation of an anonymous person who made the post under a non-de-plume.

I have researched the image and it is valid, so added the reference.
I am aware there is a lot of misinformation / misleading information being posted on the web. It is important to validate your "facts" with a reference (and no, conspiracy nutcase websites and Facebook are not a reputable source). This allows people to judge for themselves and give weighing whether to accept that fact.

In case anybody missed it (because our subservient media didn't cover it fully), the Government paid the Media $55m as operating funds to keep going during Covid. And if anybody hasn't thought that through, the $55m came from the only source of funds they (and any government) have: you and I - aka the taxpayers.
Garrick Tremain's comment:

$55m of our taxpayer dollar spent / invested wisely in the public interest? Aunty was giving us "up to the minute" Covid data in this morning's site - with data dating from 8 days ago. This was more $55m spent for the media to look the other way and not give us factual information. In anybody's language, a bribe.

I wonder why very little that is critical of the PM, the Government in general or any adverse comment on the handling of Covid is ever published.
