Strange problem with NTFS partitions.
A Laptop with two drives. The system drive a Samsung SSD M2. It has Linux Mint & Windows 10 Pro on it.
The data drive is 1TB with two NTFS partitions which are shared by both systems. Recently Sda1 is completely blocking Windows, but quite normal with Linux. Sda2 has no problems with either system. Both have identical settings in their permissions.

The folders, and files in Sda1 are displayed in the Windows file manager, but can not be copied, or opened. They are normal in Linux. Sda2 is normal on both Os's. The settings are identical on both partitions.
Re: Strange problem with NTFS partitions.
What does Linux say about it? Open disk and take a look, it's more accurate diagnosing drive failure too...........
And combine your other post, I'd say it's related.

Linux has no problems with any of the drives, nothing to report.
The problem no longer exists. I have removed Windows 10, and installed it in VMWare hosted by Cinnamon 18.3 . Works a treat, and no more complaints. I only use Windows for Rufus, and for Website & Graphics editing.
