I don't know if this is just me, but for me it has, to quote my Scots husband, has 'Been up and down like a hoors drawers'. You work it out - I think you all can (the meaning of that I mean :) )

The way he pronounced it (he was Glaswegian - he said they spoke English, but no they don't) it was quite original for NZ.
Same for everyone I think.
