Does anyone have any recommendations for an external DVD writer?
Does anyone have any recommendations for an external DVD writer please? My wife has an ASUS EeePC netbook with no DVD drive, and the writer on my laptop is bung. It would be nice to have one, preferably USB powered. Blu-ray would be nice for future proofing, but I'm figuring they will cost a bundle. :)
But anyhow, I digress - anyone know of any good makes? Since we both have ASUS ones, we're looking at ASUS ones, but then we know nothing about them.
Anything around / up to the $100 mark is fine. Thanks for reading!

Dragon PC are selling the Asus ones here for about $70-75 I think... I have just realised though that the central spindle that holds the disk is pretty flimsy on ASUS readers, the TSST ones on my laptop / wife's old one both fell to bits - i'm replacing mine with an old one (6 years old, not worth trying to buy a new one).
Having a new back up one would be nice, but not if it goes the same way as the other two! Are there any other good makes of these?
