    I think the IASTOR is specific to the Intel chipset? I may be wrong on that. You can generally just check in Device Manager - like the attached...

    It really should have worked - that's a little odd. I expect you don't have an Intel storage controller? Some of the AMD ones are a bit hit and miss....
